Hello there gang! I hope that all is well with all our fellow friends, and that we can start getting things together for our reunion. Welcome people from all walks of life. People from our football team, down to the people from the drama club! Here I like to welcome one and all. I hope that people start signing up and I hope to hear from you! Many of you might not remember me, that is fine I was no one special in High School, but I do love the memories that I have and I know that serval of you do too.

This is to inform you about a loss of a great person.  Elsa Lopez passed away this weekend.  Our thoughts and prayers are with her husband and children, and all of her loved ones.  Here is the information for those who would like to attend the services. 

Elsa Adelaida Lopez Caballero

ZAPATA, TX-Elsa Adelaida Lopez Caballero, passed away Saturday, February 21, 2004 at the age of 27 from injuries sustained in a car accident.

Although she was born in Laredo and graduated from Nixon High School in 1994, she spent most of her childhood in Zapata, TX.

Mrs. Caballero is survived by her husband, Jose Jacinto Caballero Jr. her daughters, Vilma L. (8) and Viviana L. (1); her mother, Teresa Hein; her father, Eduardo A. Lopez Sr.; sister, Elisa Anabel Lopez; and brother, Eduardo (Renae) Lopez; her maternal grandmother, Adelaida R. Hein; and her in-laws, Jose and Nora Caballero.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Conrado M. Hein Sr.; and paternal grandparents, Manuel M. and Araceli G. Lopez; uncles Efrain A. Lopez and Edmundo A. Lopez.

She will be greatly missed by her family and friends, and will be remembered as a loving daughter, wife and mother.

She celebrated life with zeal and lived every moment she experienced with her daughters as a national holiday.

In lieu of flowers, the family recommends memorial contributions to Mothers Against Drunk Drivers (MADD), 707 E. Calton Road #28 Laredo, TX 78045.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Rose Garden Funeral Home, Daniel A. Gonzalez, 2102 Hwy, Zapata, TX.

The rosary will be held tonight 02/23/04 at 7:00pm and Mass will take place on 02/24/04 at 9:00am.  THe funeral home's hours for today will be open at 6:00pm and tomorrow will be open at 8:45 am.  If you need more information, please feel free to contact Rose Garden Funeral Home at 765-8311.

As per the family's request, please make a donation in Elsa's name to the Mothers Against Drunk Drivers in lieu of flowers.


To the love ones of Elsa Lopez:

We are deeply sorry for your loss. We will always remember Elsa as the beautiful friend, wife, mother, sister and daughter that she was. We will cheerish our memories and she will never be forgotten. God Bless you.

Hello Everyone,

Here is the latest update on the Reunion!

The Class Reunion will take place Labor Day Weekend

September 3-4, 2004. So make sure that you mark your calendars.

Friday, Graduate's Night at

the Oasis Cafe on 2100 Saunders Street

There will be a $10 charge per person. The attire is casual.  Drinks and appetizers will be provided.

Saturday, Graduate's and Spouses/Significant others

The Jerusalem Room  at The Hacienda Hotel

4914 San Bernardo Street

There will be a $25 charge per person.  The attire is semi-formal.  There will be a sit down dinner and dancing.

We are asking that all graduates that would like to attend to please email or call me with their contact information so we may save them a spot for the reunion.
